Join the Columbia County Library as we celebrate America's 250th birthday with a presentation on the founding document that started it all - The Declaration of Independence.

History professor Dr. Sean McMahon will discuss both the Declaration itself and the impact that it had - and continues to have - since its publication.

Dr. McMahon has taught at Florida Gateway College for 25 years. He and his wife are both teachers who care about the community. He is originally from Atlanta, GA. Dr. McMahon is a member of the Lake City Elks #893 and he volunteers with the Lake City - Columbia County Historical Museum.
